Design Engineer
Position
responsibilities and requirements:
Design and develop RF coaxial connectors to meet industry standards and
customer requirements.
Utilize 3D CAD models and draft connector components and assemblies.
Perform tolerance studies.
Apply RF design concepts to design high performance transmission lines.
Work with the RF Engineer to validate and optimize RF performance.
Analyze or facilitate the analysis of mechanical requirements using FEA
as required.
Process Engineering Change Orders and New Product Releases.
Perform and document electrical and mechanical testing of prototypes.
Maintain organized project files.
Communicate with
customers, vendors, and internal departments as part of a
cross-functional team to move the product design through a phased
development process.
Optimal
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years experience
related experience. Candidate must have experience in the use of 3-D
Solid Modeling CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks. Some knowledge of
Simulation Software such as Ansys or Mechanica would be a plus.
Knowledge of the Manufacturing processes associated with the production
of machined (turned), stamped and formed, injection molded and die cast
component parts associated with high volume connector product is
desired. Computer literacy is a must.
Minimal
Requirements:
An entry level Mechanical Engineer who, as part of formal education, has
had hands-on experience in the use of Solid Modeling tools such as
SolidWorks. Individual should have an understanding of materials and
surface understanding of various manufacturing practices such as
machining, molding, and stamping. Computer literacy is necessary.

Responsibilities: The
design and development of RF products utilizing solid modeling CAD and
FEA software tools to predict performance and document product design.
Manage development of products from initial concept through design,
prototype, testing, verification, and implementation into production.
